A world of weddings

We do multicultural weddings, with couples from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Nigeria, as well as the US. That means a delightful variety of music and dance, some extraordinary food--we're particularly fond of cassava greens and stewed goat--and guests whose wedding outfits are just as memorable as those of the bride and groom.

The bride, Bi, is from Cameroon; the groom, Wole, is from Nigeria. Both are doctors.

Bridesmaids?  No.  But these women are members of Bi's extended family, which reaches from Africa to the former Yugoslavia.

Bi's parents prefer a more Western style of dress.

And whatever other exotic dishes are on the menu, the wedding cake is thoroughly American.
